The Best Sunscreens for Summer - 2025
Spring is finally here, and with warmer days just ahead, it’s time to talk about one of the most important things to keep in mind: protecting your skin! Whether it’s sunny or cloudy, sunscreen is essential for preventing damage from UV rays, which are stronger than ever as we move into the brighter seasons. So, let’s dive into my top sunscreen picks to help you stay safe in the sun this spring and summer. Classic Body Organic Sunscreen Lotion SPF 70 - Peach Blossom
This sunscreen ya’ll. I was gifted this sunscreen and it sat under my sink for months until I had ran out of everything I had, was in a bind, and had to grab this guy. As an adult, I really don’t love lotion sunscreen. The spray is easy, quick, and generally effective. BUT when I tell you that this sunscreen works, it WORKS!! My beach day/long day at Disneyland/long day outside process is to slather this all over my exposed skin as a base layer and touch up throughout the day with my spray sunscreens. And ladies, this WORKS!! It has protected my skin from getting burnt summer after summer since using the Coola sunscreen and I’m hooked!! Not only do I protect my lovely skin, but this sunscreen is Reef friendly (very important on my list), among it’s other highlights. This is my number one!

I discovered Sun Bum when I was looking for great reef friendly sunscreens when my hubby and I went to Hawaii a few years ago. This sunscreen is a spray, which is great for easy application. It has a sweet light, tropical fragrance that instantly transports you to a vacation paradise, and is dermatologist tested. As mentioned, it is a reef friendly sunscreen and offers additional benefits like being gluten free, vegan, antioxidant rich, and cruelty free. 5. Super Goop Every. Single. Face. Watery Lotion SPF 50
I couldn’t let you all go without giving you an excellent choice for a facial sunscreen!! I have been using SuperGoop! products for well over a year now and I love them! This excellent SPF moisturizer is great for all days and is a non-comedogenic formula that's also water- and sweat-resistant for 40 minutes! Besides providing protection against UVA/UVB rays, it’s also said to protect against pollution and works for all skin types. It conveniently fits in any beach bag and will be a constant grab for your summer days!
Spring and Summer Sunscreen Tips
As we transition into the warmer weather, it’s important to start protecting your skin now. Even though the sun may not always feel intense, the UV rays can still cause damage. Be sure to apply sunscreen even on cloudy days—those are often the sneakiest when it comes to UV exposure! And don’t forget to reapply every two hours, especially after swimming or sweating!
