DIVING INTO
The Details
I was born in Chicago and grew up about 45 mins north of the city in a town called Hainesville. (I still remember my home address and landline home phone number!) My love for beauty started at a young age.
When I was around 7, I convinced my sister to let me play hairstylist and cut off her hair! My parents were less than pleased, but that moment projected what has been a 10+ year beauty career! As I grew up, I loved sitting close to the TV and pouring over magazine and newspaper cutouts staring at the hair, make up and character looks of my favorite movies and actors. I would check out books from the library (before YouTube y’all!) and read through them, studying the words and pictures inside.
It was about middle/high school that I decided I wanted to move to LA and pursue hair and make up as a career.
My dad was skeptical, at first, and my mom encouraged me to follow my dreams! I went to a small school in Greenville, South Carolina, received my Associates in Business Degree and Cosmetology License, and moved to LA a month after graduation in June of 2012. Since that time, I have been pursuing my career through; print, fashion, film, television, theatre, advertising, private events, weddings, etc.
When I first moved to Cali, working on movies and creating characters for people to get lost in the magical stories that films tell was my goal….Since then I’ve really fallen in love with all things beauty. I value the chance and trust you give me to create beautiful and memorable moments with you!

From the naturalist look to the more glamorous ones, my goal is always to provide elevated and skillful services to every client through hair and make up services.
ABOUT
I truly didn’t understand brides until I was married myself in June of 2016. We met here in LA at the gym (it’s soooo LA!). We got married at Malibu Bluffs Park and took our party back to Blush Banquet Hall for the best party I’ve been to!
When deciding on hair and make up for my wedding I kept going back and forth, should I do it? Should I get it done? I had a trial with one artist (yes even as an MUA!) and that did not turn out how I wanted to look on my day of. At that point I decided I would do my own beauty services…. Then 2 weeks before my wedding, I realized that this was my special day! I wanted to be pampered! So I called on my sweet & talented work colleague and wedding beauty mentor at the time, Pa Kou Xiong, and she made herself available for my special day!

My favorite flowers are red geraniums and carnations! My favorite season is Fall and I LOVE getting outside and being active!
I’m pretty competitive. The good kind though. The kind that pushes you to be even better than you were yesterday.
I really enjoy visiting new places! Internationally, I’ve been to London, Paris, & Antigua, Guatemala (for now)! I’ve also been to most of the states in the US! My hubby and I have big plans for travel in the coming years!
I’m a big Disney fan!! I love to go to Disneyland 3-4 times a year!!
I am passionate about beauty, but also financial independence & planet sustainability!!
I love to try out exciting, new places to eat, dance, have fun, throw parties, and spend time with my close friends and family!
I absolutely love to laugh, especially until my belly hurts, it’s my most favorite thing in life!
