A Fusion Wedding - Monica and Manny
We’re bringing the modern together with the traditional in this gorgeous Desi Fusion Wedding! I was privileged to be the Bridal Hairstylist on this! (Tara of Breluxe Wedding and Beauty Specialists was on for makeup.)
Some of my favorite things about the SouthAsian culture is the color and culture they bring into their weddings. With two SouthAsian Weddings on my books this year, I am beyond excited to dip my toes in the water for these fabulous events!
We set our scene at the beautiful Fete the Venue. As the wardrobe ladies and set dressers set the stage for these fabulous shots, Tara and I began the hair and makeup process. We did three different looks, which, I think came out exquisite!
It came out gorgeous didn’t it?
Next we opted for a bridal updo, with desi flair!
I love braiding, so I incorporated this simple, gorgeous fishbraid into the updo.
How fun is that?
This shoot was such a fun time! And being able to see all the beautiful dresses paired with beautiful venue and decor! -*Chef’s Kiss!- Gorgeous!

At first we decided to go with a Hollywood Wave style. These wedding hairstyles are incredibly popular for good reason: they’re classic and gorgeous, and there’s so many different ways you can create this particular style!
We paired modern classic style with the traditional sari, tika and jewelry to create an absolutely beautiful look!
How do you think the updo came out?
Last look of the day we opted for something playful. A Jasmine Braid as beautiful Monica called it!
